It's tough for the Australian squad to break new ground.

The top summits have already been conquered.

Some will argue the case for the pressure of a final. Some might respond with the challenge that comes when confronting a historic chase and a loud pro-India audience of 20,000.

What's clear is this century was far harder to predict.

The Christchurch carnage in 2022 occurred when she led the batting statistics, but this innings came after six matches in India over the past few weeks in which she had been unable to reach 30.

"For those following me in training, it has been a challenging time because I feel like I've had no rhythm completely," commented Healy.

"But once you take the field, your competitive instincts kick in and you just lock into the contest."

Healy's competitiveness has consistently been her major advantage - and a priceless quality in taking over from famous previous leader Meg Lanning.

She was troubled by India's rising star Kranti Gaud in the previous month's ODI series, out to the young fast bowler in every game, but on this occasion it simply offered Healy's inspiration.

One run resulted off the opening delivery and from that point the batsman was in motion.

"A chance to play and engage in competition with her and simply enjoy myself in that regard, kind of motivated me," commented Healy.

She got to fifty in 35 deliveries - her swiftest at a World Cup - and her hundred in 84 as she flogged anything short, hitting 21 fours and three big hits.

By the time she was dismissed the team required another 66 at one run per ball - an achievable target now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"To chase 330 is new territory so I'm happy we have the belief to accomplish that now," added Healy.

"Hopefully we don't have to do it another time but, should it happen, we know we can succeed."

These statements will be the final thing Australia's opponents at this championship need to hear.

In recent days a belief they will triumph from any situation has only strengthened - this victory following win against Pakistan by 107 runs despite struggling at 76-7 at one stage.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before a meeting with old rivals England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a semi-final berth may well be secure.

It was at that stage they left the previous year's T20 World Cup in a surprising setback by South Africa - a match Healy couldn't play because of damaged tissue in her foot as she captained her nation for the inaugural occasion at an important competition.

Such is her determination, she subsequently stated she wanted to have participated through the pain.

However although she later admitted those physical issues have pushed back plans to retire, this World Cup is anticipated as her concluding event as leader in one-day cricket and she is hasn't yet secured a world championship as captain.

Success in India would bring her to the top of her ultimate challenge.
